| This exhibit highlights seventy nine masterworks by many of the
leading artists of our time, offering a panoramic survey of the
potential of clay as an expressive art form. The objects on view range
from functional ware for everyday use to more expressive sculptural
forms. The collection is among the most important in its field,
including artists such as Carlton Ball, Rose Cabat, Otto and Vivika
Heino, Shoji Hamada, Peter Voulkos, Betty Woodman, and others.

| This is an exhibition of ceramic works of art by students from
participating colleges in a 100-mile radius, in conjunction with the
Alabama Clay Conference in Huntsville. The exhibition is at Alabama
A&M University's Art Gallery (see map)
from Monday, February 16, through Sunday, March 15, 2009. Regular hours
of the gallery are Monday-Friday, 9 a.m. - 5 p.m. Special Clay Conference
weekend hours are Saturday March 14, 10 a.m. - 3p.m. and Sunday, March 15,
10 a.m. - 2 p.m.

| This exciting display of art showcases ceramic works by middle and
high school students from participating schools in Huntsville and
Madison County. The works are on view through the month of March at
the Huntsville Madison County Public Library in downtown Huntsville
(see map). Library hours are Monday through
Thursday, 9 a.m. - 9 p.m., Friday and Saturday, 9 a.m. - 5 p.m. and
Sunday, 1 - 5 p.m.

| This is an on-going collaborative public art project in conjunction
with the Alabama Clay Conference in Huntsville. Elementary school
students paint tiles, following a particular theme, and then the tiles
are affixed to concrete benches which are placed throughout the city.
